OKADA Kenzo is a painter who has lived in the art worlds of two cities, in Paris in the 1920’s and in New York after the 1950’s. He created his atelier in Jiyugaoka, Meguro City, in 1929. This Exhibition features the period of OKADA when, after his New York years, the artist gradually moved towards “abstract” style and established his own style of combining light-color surfaces. We would like to unravel the process from his two study-abroad experiences.
